Caleb has FINALLY accepted a sippy cup and bottles! He's coordinated enough to hold them up by himself and he has grasped the concept. It took a while, but he's got it. It's nice to know that he is getting more fluids and that if I HAVE to, I can leave him and not feel like I'm starving him. He is also fine with foods too. He doesn't really like chunky baby foods, especially if they have peas (Leif hates peas too. Strange.) Anyway, he still nurses at least three times a day and eats a bottle of food or two. He snacks on finger foods throughout the day as well.
He is finally pulling himself up to things and gaining his balance. He doesn't do it a whole lot. But the point is that he can! Caleb's favorite toys are cars and dinosaurs. He found cars and started pushing them around several weeks ago. Long before Jakob ever introduced them to him. It was fun to see him find an interest. He also loves anything that Jakob is playing with or doing. He loves to play hide and seek with Jakob. Lately Jakob will lure Caleb to hide with him behind the couch and then he'll call us to come find them. Sometimes Jakob will hide somewhere and then he'll call Caleb over and over from where he's at and Caleb will search until he finds him. They love that game! I love to see their interaction.
Caleb's health has been good except for his ears. He had another ear infection last week. We took him to the chiropractor as soon as he came down with the fever. It seemed to cut the length of the infection in half. It isn't unusual for him to have an earache for a week. This one was gone before that. So we are happy about that. He doesn't like the chiropractor. That's sad. But I can't help that one...
